My picking itch began when I was trying to furnish my college apartment. I started going to garage sales because I couldn't afford to buy new furniture. As time went on, my my wife started to think I was "turning in to a horder". Around the same time, I began to realize that people liked what I was finding, so much that they would be willing to buy it!
I like anything and everything old, American-made and anything that has a "cool look". One of the best parts of my hobbie is the hunt. You never know who or what you will find out there. My favorite find was actually in the back of a shed burried under an inch of dirt.
Now that I (finally) have a garage, I'm able to restore old antiques. I enojoy taking old antiques and making them into functional pieces. It's like I'm giving them a new life! My wife turned me on to pallet funiture after showing me some ideas on Pinterest. It took us a few weekends, but we finally made the perfect outdoor pallet sectional. From that point on, I've been spending lots of time making pallet creations., two of which I have posted on this site.
